Code of Coupon, gift cert., and Buy X Get Y - Auto generated and send via mail?

Hi Seyi,

The coupon code that I chose under the drop down menu 1. Coupon 2. Gift Certificate or 3. Buy X Get Y, the code will be generated automatically and send automatically once a purchase is done by the customers right?

It does not matter what you choose. You can create any type of coupon code you want. Generally most will create a gift certificate. Gift certificates are special because the store the usage and allow customers to use the code in as many orders until the value of the code is 0.

And yes, it is just a template that will be copied when customer purchases where the code is automatically generated and automatically emailed.
