Allow coupon to be used just once

Hello,

I have a coupon which gives users 25% off product B, when they buy product A.

However I have noticed that users can add unlimited number of product B to their cart and they will always get 25% discount, which I do not want. I ony want to give them this offer on 1 product B (not on multiples of product B).

Is there any way I can add this restriction?

Is this a buy x get y coupon? If so set 'maximum discount qty' to 1.

No this is not a buy x get y. It is a just a 'coupon'. Do you suggest I change it to 'buy x get y'?

Hello,

It would be the easiest coupon to use as it seems you are creating a promotion where a customer purchase A and receives B. This is exactly what buy x get y does. With this you can also control the number of discounts the customer gets. I am not sure you can do it any other way.
