Is it possible with this component, to make the coupons count on the TOTAL amount? - From time to time i need to offer a free item through the coupon system (eg to the winner of a competition). This persons bill should be FREE, and in the standard setup he always has to pay the shipping fee.

With the pro version, you can do it be creating a parent coupon:
- create coupon A for 100% discount on the product
- create coupon B for 100% discount on shipping
- create coupon C as a parent coupon, adding coupon A and B to it and selecting a process type of 'all that apply'
Then give out coupon C.
