Can I buy "any amount" get 1 (only) free?

My client needs to have a coupon that will allow the customer, if they buy 2 or more of anything from a given category, to get only the lowest priced item from that category, for free. Can AwoCoupon do this?

I believe you can set this up as a buy x get y coupon. Here is how

Function type: Buy X Get Y
Value: 100%
Process Type: Lowest Value
Maximum Discount Qty: 1
Buy X: 1 of selected category
Get Y: 1 of selected category

Seyi, my version of the component (2.2.0) does not have "maximum discount quantity" that I can see. Did this become available in a more recent version?

I can confirm that this works in 2.2.8. Problem solved!
