[Resolved] Free product on cart value - Virtuemart V2

Hi there, I know this isn't coupon related but would really, really help with promotions!

My client wants to launch a site with a launch deal. Spend £20 and get product 'A' for free. Spend £50 and get product 'B' for free. I've scoured the net to find a solution but only found a V1 extension, so i'm having to hack something together for Saturday

This involves adding some text in the basket along the lines of "If you have spent over ££ your free product will be dispatched with your order". This isn't perfect by any means as my client wanted the free products added to the basket depending on value of the cart.

I had assumed (being new to Virtuemart) that this would be standard but as of yet promotions are lagging behind.

Also can't seem to find anything for buy 1/2/3 get 1/2/3 free etc - and I know my client will want to use this promotion in the not too distant future.

As this is a coupon module, nothing is added automatically to the cart, as well as no discounts are giving automatically, the customer is required to enter a coupon code. For the buy x get x, there is a solution:

It is rather hard to set up, which is why by monday we will be coming out with an update that allows you to easily create such a discount in one coupon in AwoCoupon 2. And in the coming weeks in AwoCoupon 1.

It looks like you are trying to create cart rules. You should look into daycounts virtuemart bonus or polished geeks purchasing rules.
