Gift Card Code Option not displayed during check out

Hi,
i'm hoping some one can guide me through this. I am far from a "power user" but I can get around some what through VM. I am using VM 1.1.8 with the appropriate Gift card product from you. I am having trouble allowing my customers a location to enter the purchased gift card code during check out.

Please advise.

In the shopping cart there should be a coupon field in which your users should be able to enter the code. If it is not there, then in the admin section under virtuemart configuration, make sure coupon usage is enabled.
