Gift certificates - existing and new subscribers

Before purchasing Awocoupon Pro I wish to know if i can do what a customer required me.
The customer gave me a csv file with codes to be sent to my existing users and to all the new users in the next couple of months (the message has a text and some pictures). Reading the documentation I see I can use the Import feature to load the csv and the Template to build the email message, then it's not clear how to have the first mass mailing (for the existing users) and the automatic email for any new user. I have installed Virtuemart for the occasion, but i'll use it only as a prerequisite for awocoupon pro.

AwoCoupon Pro does not have a function to email existing customers. The profile within AwoCoupon is used for purchasing of gift certificates to new customers. And that can be set up using this blog:

To send new registered users coupons, then you would need either AwoCoupon email or AwoRewards. But the function there auto generates a new coupon code and does not send the coupon codes you specify, so not sure that would work for you either.

So if I can sum up I cannot use awocoupon with external codes; this sounds strange because I read about the import function of the pro version.
In fact I was thinking of a solution based on virtuemart + awocoupon pro at least for the new subscribers using my codes imported from a csv file.

I do not understand what you mean by use AwoCoupon with external codes. Do you mean codes you generated somewhere else and want to import them? Yes you can do this with the import function:
awocoupon->coupons->import

You can also enable core virtuemart coupons to work along side of AwoCoupon
