gift certificate

I have hikashop 2.1.1
I'm trying
to get the customer get a mail with a gift certificate from a product
Made a product>I made a coupon > made gift certificate >insert the image
If I buy the product I don't get a email with the gift certificate
but in the back end a coupon code is created

How do i make the customer get the gift by mail

explaining what i like to do

If the costumer from my online shop
Go to the real shop of my supplier were they get a gift
So I was thinking to make a product called -- gift supplier--
so If they buy the free product they get send the --- gift certificate ---
with the image of the gift with a unique number
so if my supplier make a offer he can fill in the unique number so I can see witch customer went there

Maybe I'm approche it the wrong way

I look @ my tmp file that is writable
I set the date earlier than today
try to make it payable gift no result
the gift certificate in publish
in the configuration try to set all activate yes
max to 100




I dont get any mails
