Just downloaded the pro version and trying to figure out if this is possible. Didn't find a definitive answer in the forums. If it is possible can someone explain the setup values.

Of course we would like to have 50% off of the cheaper item.

Take a look at the value definition field in user_guide.html.

I went through the user guide pretty closely but the things that I tried didn't seem to work. Posting a screen shot or setup would be great for a lot of folks who don't know the software inside and out.

On its own, AwoCoupon does not handle this situation very well. If you have a same priced item, you could use the value definition and set
    qty value
    2 25%
    3 0

If you have items of different prices, then you could create many coupons of all combinations and use a parent coupon to join them. So for example, you have 2 items, item A is worth $10 and item B is worth $5 you could create:

    qty value
    2 $5 select product A
    3 0

    2 $2.5 select product A and B
    3 0

Then create a parent coupon to join them.

AwoCoupon with Purchasing rules may be able to handle it better:

    Hope that helps.
