Can't change 'Calculate the discount before tax' option in configuration

Hi,

Each time I have tried to change this to yes and saved it, it tells me that settings are saved. But when I go back into it again , the setting for 'Calculate the discount before tax' has defaulted back to 'No'.

I am using Joomla 1.5.23, VM 1.1.18 and your version 1.4.0 pro.

The reason I would like to change the setting is that, at present, if I apply a coupon for a percentage of the product total, it miscalculates the discount by using the after tax figure rather than the pre-tax figure. This also has the effect of making a 100% discount show a negative value.

Strangely, at present, if I set up a coupon to apply an amount rather than a %, it works fine.

There is a problem with the configuration screen in 1.4.0 for some users. Please upgrade to 1.4.1 and you should not see this problem any more.

Should I just use the install function in Joomla?

I've had some customisation done on my version of Virtuemart since I installed the present version. Is upgrading likely to affect this?

Yes, install through joomla install. The upgrade will only affect AwoCoupon files, not virtuemart.
