Trying to install - I have Joomla 1.5 VM 1.1.6 and am getting this :- Error! Could not find an XML setup file in the package.

I download file first from email. Tried installing but got error message: Error! Could not find an XML setup file in the package.

Tried logging into account and accessing file there and redownloaded/installed but same error message.

Anyway help would be great. Thank you!

Sorry forgot to mention - this is for the AWOCoupon Pro for VM.

Just to verify, did you unzip the download first? Your install package should start with com_awocoupon...

No, I just uploaded as per instructions here:

Installation
1. Download AwoCouon for Virtuemart to a location on your computer
2. Log into Joomla as an Administrator
3. From the top menu go to Extensions->"Install/Uninstall"
4. Under the “Upload Package File" section press the button "Browse…"
5. Find and select the file, com_awocoupon.zip, downloaded to your computer
6. Install component by pressing "Upload File & Install" button

I saw the .zip written and just assumed to leave as zip. But now I realise the file name is AwoCoupon-Pro-UNZIP-FIRST. Silly that I didnt see it :/

So Ill unzip now and upload folder? Do I follow the two step instructions listed or it should just install fine? Sorry Im not a professional at this stuff.

Oh I see inside the original zip file there is another zip file that is as you describe. Got it!

Have installed and got the following:

Database Tables Installation: Successful
Profile 1: Upgrade Applied Successfully.
Profile - Christmas: Upgrade Applied Successfully.
Profile - Flower: Upgrade Applied Successfully.
Profile - Brown: Upgrade Applied Successfully.
Profile - Snowman: Upgrade Applied Successfully.
Core (Required): Successful
Add Shipping fields to Coupon Form: Successful
Order Number in Checkout: Successful
Call AwoCoupon on Selection of Shipping: Successful
Display Correct Shipping in Basket: Successful
Show Shipping Discount in Coupon Display field 1: Successful
Show Shipping Discount in Coupon Display field 2: Successful
Retrieve Calculated Shipping from AwoCoupon: Successful
Allows sellable gift certificates: Successful

Do I need to follow two step process or am I good to go?
