Tax not adding until after checkout

During the checkout process, the tax in not inlcuded in the total. It is not until you reach Paypal does it give the total with tax. How do I correct this

$24.99
Subtotal: $24.99
Coupon Discount: - $2.50

Total: $22.49
Tax Total: $1.57


Should be...........................

$24.99
Subtotal: $24.99
Coupon Discount: - $2.50

Tax Total: $1.57
Total: $24.06

not sure, that sounds like a virtuemart problem. what version of virtuemart are you using? what is your configuration for display of prices both globally and for the default shopper group?
