Adding custom attributes to a Gift Certificate

Is it possible to add a custom attribute to a Gift certificate using the Gift certificate Profiles boxes.

I.e can I add {recipient_name} in Free Text 3.

If I can't at the moment is there a hack I can use to do this?

Edited to add, I can add the {...} but can't add html to have new lines for example.

Is it possible to add any more custom attributes?

So for example:

If I want the purchaser to add the telephone number of the person the gift is being given to so that it can be added to the admin email, is this possible?

It is, with customization. You would have to add the attribute to the product and then code for it when creating the gift certificate.
