Number of uses per customer not working

I have set my number of uses per customer to 1, but if I try adding multiple quantities, the coupon discounts multiple quantities. For example:

The min order amount is $150. If my customers spend this amount they are eligible for a free product. They must add the free item to their cart and apply the coupon code. For some reason, the coupon is allowing multiple quantities. I want to limit one per customer. How do I do this?

number of uses is the number of times a coupon can be used, it does not affect the quantity within the coupon.

for that you will need to use the value definition field. Take a look at the documentation for more information, but you can set the
