Gift Certificate Profiles no default

you can have a certficate profile for each product virtuemart?
I see that I can assign a profile for each product, but always takes the default ..

It is actually labelled 'profile image'. The default profile is always used with the selected profile image you choose for the product. You can uncomment some code to change the behavior:
