[Resolved] Excluding already discounted products from coupons

Hi again seyi

I havent seen any post on this subject :

is it possible to exclude already discounted products from coupon discounts ?

For exemple I have a cart with 2 products :
- A = 10$
- B = 10$ discounted at 8 (-20% product discount)

I have a coupon of 10%

Final price =
- A = 9
- B = 8 (unchanged)
--> 17$


A cool thing would be to make it an option on the admin panel, to activate or disactivate it.

And an even more cool thing would be to add an other option like to take into account the more interesting discount for the client (again, it would be a coupon option)

Exemple, before coupon :
- A = 10$
- B = 10 discounted at 8
- C = 10 discounted at 6

With a 30% coupon, it would then be :

- A = 7
- B = 7
- C = 6

Do you see what I mean ? :)



At first the most important to me is to be able to exclude already discounted products, with or without admin activation option ...

This is a great idea!

I must say this component already blows all coupon components out of the water (i have tried alot) but this kind of feature would mane it even better. For me I have created a category that discounted items have to be added to, then exclude the cat from the coupon. Works most of the time other then when I forget to add the extra cat to the product discounted.

Thanks guys for the suggestion. The work around is not bad. I'm moving this topic to the Suggestion Box. And will look more into it when making upgrades.

Would you have a little code modification under your elbow like you are use to :)
