Gift Certificate and attributes

I have not tried this, but how would the gift certificate function if you have attributes with additional cost. Would the gift certificate reflect the additional cost? How will the Awo component display the value of the certificate? I have a sample set up here...

the attributes do not affect the value of the gift certificate product. You set a value within AwoCoupon, and whatever is set there is the value of the gift certificate, no matter what the price is. If you want to combine all your gift certificates into 1 drop down, you can achieve this by making children products. Using the attributes is not advisable.
