Expiration date shortcode on Gift Certificate email

Having a strange problem testing my gift certificate email. If I use the {vouchers} code, that comes out fine, but if I use the {expiration} or {expiration_text} shortcode, it actually prints the short code in the email, not the text it's supposed to generate.

e.g.

Voucher: 8jQrWaRz

{expiration_text}

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

The only valid tag there is {vouchers}

You can use the {expiration_text} within the {vouchers} tag by editing the {vouchers} text field, and the {expiration} within the {expiration_text} text field. But those tags are not valid to use directly in the email.
