Hikashop shipping coupons

Good day,

I am running the following:
Hikashop Pro :2.4.0
Joomla: 3.4.3
AWOCoupon Pro: 2.3.8

I have a coupon set up to give 100% discount on shipping (with the intention of giving free shipping when using usps). I have set it to INCLUDE only the USA It is set up to EXCLUDE one shipping type (UPS).

During my workflow in Hikashop, I enter my couponcode, and regardless of the shipping method chosen (in this case UPS) the payment screen shows a discount of the full (100%) shipping amount.

I was not able to find anything in the documentation or forums regarding this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Need more details on how the coupon is setup. Screen shot maybe or temp admin access to have a look?
