[Prestashop] Only apply a discount if the product is placed in the shopping cart

Hi, I was wondering if it would be possible to have a discount coupon automatically applied to certain products, but only placed when the product is added to the cart
If so, how do I do it?

Are you saying, if product a is in the cart, give a discount to product b?

If so you can use a combination coupon:
Coupon A: discount value of 0 and select specifically product a.
coupon B: discount value you need, and select specifically product b
coupon c: combination coupon where you set discount type to 'only if all apply'
Then use coupon c.

no no much simpler, I put product A in the cart and when I go to the cart I see product A with the discount, if I then put product B but this has no discount "associated" then it has the full price e.g. and then I put product C and this also has a discount associated and I put it in the cart also for this product I will see the discounted price.

You would create a discount coupon, select product A, and set discount type to 'specific'. And it should only discount product A in the cart.
