couponcode adds instead of substract

i have created a coupon for 5 euro. but when the customer adds it on the coupoincode field, it ADDS 5 euro to the total instead of substracting it. And i cannot make a coupon with -5 euro.

can someone help me?

Did you recently upgrade virtuemart? If so, then upgrading AwoCoupon or trying a patch such as this should work:
