Flat Shipping Set

One of our customers wanted to have a coupon that set a specific shipping rate. We tried all other VM solutions (shopper groups, etc), but really, they wanted to have a coupon that would set the shipping to a set amount ($10) - this was for an overseas order which was always more than $10; ultimately, since this was a short term thing, we hacked the couponhandler.php file for virtuemart to take whatever the shipping value was and apply enough of a discount to leave $10 for the shipping costs; but it would be nice to be able to set this directly...

This is currently something that we are looking into. It would be nice if AWO could enable a specific shipping option, such as flat rate, when a certain coupon was entered. Is there any movement on this?

It is outside the scope of AwoCoupon to display shipping options based on the coupon entered.
