blank page with extended classes enabled

If I have extended classes enabled in virtuemart, which I need for another module, when submitting coupons during checkout it displays a blank page.

You will need to see what the true error is in order to fix it. Look in your error logs. If it is enabled, it is typically in the root directory of your website and the file is usually named error_log.
