Hi

Are there any changes made to the modified VM files?
In some of the files I have other modifications too, so I like to know if I can update safely.

Or is it possible to do a ftp update?

if you have version 1.0.1 or greater, then no there are no Virtuemart modifications, and it would be safe to upgrade.
