Referrals - is it possible to limit to one reward per email address

We are successfully using AwoReferrals to reward customers when one of their friends orders.

However we have found that two friends keep referring each other and so they each qualify for a reward every week. Our intent was to reward only for new friends.

I can't see how to limit to new referrals only.

Any help greatly appreciated.

You are referring to AwoRewards right? Because AwoReferral is no longer supported.

Can you give full details of the rule you created?

OK we are using AwoReferral so I will test in AwoRewards. I didn't realise it was no longer supported sorry.

Are we able to bring the information over from Referral to Rewards or do we have to start again?

AwoReferrals is 2.1.3

AwoRewards is 2.2.0 - an upgrade is pending while I test it in the test environment.
