You can only use gift certificates generated in AwoCoupon towards the use of a discount and also to add to AwoCoupon balance. AwoRewards points can also be converted to AwoCoupon balance automatically. This may be a better solution for you as the balance can be used towards the discount of the shopping cart without the use of a coupon code. There is more information on the balance here:
