Had an odd issue yesterday. I issued a customer a 1-time courtesy discount coupon tied to his name and a specific product. The customer logged in and applied the coupon. It worked. Unfortunately, his credit card did not. The transaction declined, but the coupon still recorded to the history as used.
When he tried to purchase again, he could not use his 1-time coupon. Since we can expect a fair number of transactions to decline due to incorrect billing info entered, is there any way to make the use of the coupon only record to history if the transaction is successful?
