Update will not install

I just tried to install the update, and here's the error message:

Warning
JInstaller: :Install: Can't find XML setup file.

Message
Invalid package type. The update can not proceed.

This was from inside the application in the admin, selecting the Update to the Latest Version button

More than likely AwoCoupon is having trouble uploading the extension to your temp directory.

You can manually update:

There is no problem with the protections on the TMP directory. I will go through the manual installation process, but I'm not pleased.
