Any way to get the coupon to be 0% VAT?
we sell products both with and without VAT. Generally the coupon discount is correct until the order is confirmed.

    example>
    5% off Subtotal £279.48 is £13.97

It shows this in the basket. But when the order is saved the £13.97 changes to £14.01. As if it has added the 3p VAT difference from the VATable product.

I have tried with coupon tax calculated in cofig as before-tax-excludes-tax and before-tax-includes-tax. Either way, it is £14.01. This is causing a negative VAT issue when importing orders into Sage accounts.

It seems to be OK when calculating discounts where the cusstomer has only ordered 0% VAT items.

Is this virtuemart?  If so how is the calculation rule for tax created?

Also in awocoupon > installation check, is everything installed?

Yes everything installed  in awocoupon > installation
    AWO 3.6.0.4
    Yes virtuemart 3.8.8 10472

Config > General > Tax Cal (coupon) is Discount before tax (voucher excludes tax)

Everything looks OK until order confirmed. then the 13.97 discunt changed to 14.01

We have lots of products that do not have tax (non luxury food)
Also stock items that do have tax (equipment and luxury food)

The only tax related places I see settings are in the following screenshots. If this is not the correct settings you are talking about, could you advise where/what settings you need to see?
    thanks.

Going through your post again and just realized that the totals are correct.  If you set to discount before tax, then the item is discounted before tax is calculated.  Taking your example:

    Subtotal: 279.48
    Tax total: 3.19 * .2 = 0.64
    Total: 280.12

    With coupon:
    Subtotal: 279.48
    Discount: (278.48*.05) = 13.974
    Tax total: 3.19*.95*.2 = 0.6061
    Total: 266.11

So the coupon discount before tax is 13.97
    But the overall discount is 280.12 - 266.11 = 14.01
