Number of Uses question..

In the documentation, it says :
Number of uses Number: the number of times a coupon/gift certificate can be used. This number is dependent on the function type. If set to 0 or is left blank (only valid for function type of coupon), there is no limit.

Can you clarify for me, does this mean, PER user or globally?

For example: If I set this value to 1.

Will this coupon become expired for just the user, or can no longer be used by anyone?

Another way to look at it:

If I set it to 10, will this coupon be good ONCE for 10 users, or be available to be used by any user 10 times?

The number of uses depends on the function type. Lets say you set your number of uses to 7.

With function type of coupon: every user (or the limited number of users you selected in the coupon) would be able to use the coupon a total number of 7 times each.

With a function type of gift certificate - every user (or the limited number of users you selected in the coupon) would be able to use the gift certificate a total number of 7 times total in any combination. So one user could use it 7 times, or 2 users could use it 2 and 5 times, etc etc.
