Getting file for updated version

My site was created by a developer who bought the license for AWOCouponPro. The developer so no longer associated with the project and I am charged with maintaining it. When I look at the Licenses section of the site I see no licenses listed for my account. This makes me think that although the license is associated with the correct domain, it has not been transferred to my account.

Ultimately, I'm trying to figure out how to get the file for the latest version so I can upgrade. We are still running 1.2.1. I've read the FAQ, but it does not provide info on how to get the files. I'm presuming that I would be able to get them from the Files section if the license was associated with my account.

Is there no way to transfer the license? He made the purchase at our request and we paid for it. Can he initiate a license transfer? We no longer are employing him so going to him for updates is like asking him to work for free.

Also, why isn't there a way to update from within the Joomla! Control Panel? Most extensions provide this capability.

The developer should have had the website owner purchase AwoCoupon. We do not allow transfers. The best you could probably do is ask the developer to give you access to the account he/she purchased with.

Maybe in the future such a feature to update through joomla control panel will be added, but for now updates can be retrieved through the purchased account.
