Best Way For Manual Checkout of Gift Certificate

what is the best way to manually mark a gift certificate used? For example, we are issuing gift certificate for the users to print out and bring to physically bring into a merchant store. Our procedure is for the merchant to call us and tell us the certificate code, where we can verify it and mark used.

Can you tell us the best way for us to mark certificates used in AWO?

To mark a gift certificate used, you would have to enter an entry in the history of uses. go to awocoupon->history of uses, select new at the top right and make an enter for the gift certificate.

There is no "NEW" option for gift certificates, only "coupons", which it asks for discount percentage.

For the history of uses, the first tab 'coupons' is all coupons which includes normal coupons as well as gift certificates. When you click new, you are asked to select a coupon code, you can search for the gift certificate code there and select it. Then you are asked to enter a discount for product or shipping, it is not a percentage.
