    Dear Seyi,

Importing email from yahoo and gmail does not work properly. while it was fine before.

Besides, the text which was written for invitation by email is lost for no reason.

    Can you help?

    Hello,

Thanks for the access, I have taken a look.

So as I gather, there are 3 problems you mentioned:

    1) importing from gmail and yahoo is not working
=> I cannot produce this error. I created a front user account, logged in, and was able to easily import from both gmail and yahoo. It will only import once a session, so I logged out and repeated the steps about 5 times or so, and each time importing work, no errors in either gmail or yahoo

    2) the invitation text is being lost
=> I understand this to mean when it is being sent the text is somehow cutoff? If this is correct, then I was not able to produce this either. I was able to send the inivitation email without problems. You can look here to see a test email I sent:
    http://gtbpgdyycyfu.mailinator.com
Note: this is a temporary email, so if you do not see it there, then it has already been deleted.

    3) not able to update through live update
=> Yes, I see that problem also. To do the live update, the software is first uploaded to your temporary directory, unzipped and then updated using that data. For some reason it is having problems uploading into your temporary directory here:
    www/tmp/
I am not sure why, might be a permission issue or it may also have something to do with the number of directories in that folder. There are about 10,000. I look at a couple and they seem to be empty. Not really sure what their use is for. In any case, if you cannot do a live update, you can always do a manual update. I do not really spend time debugging live update problems as there is a backup.

    Dear Seyi,

    1. Regarding the firt problem the thing is it is random. Sometimes work and sometimes doesn't.

    2. The second problem is not about sending email. But the problem is that its text is not available in the admin panel anymore.

    3. Can you explain the procedure for manual update.

    Hello,

    1. It really cannot be random. If there is a problem then something is causing it. And without being able to reproduce it, I cannot fix it. Maybe at the time you tried the google or yahoo service was down? (highly unlikely i know). But I cannot reproduce so really do not know how to fix it.

    2. Ok i looked in admin->components->aworewards->invitations, and edited the email invitation. For me the email text shows fine. Is there somewhere else you are referring to?

    3. Here are instructions for the download:
    https://awodev.com/documentation/frequently-asked-questions#install-upgrade
Then simply unzip and install through Joomla installer and it will automatically upgrade

Can you check the first problem through this address:

    1. Firstly, login, then import emails through address below:

    https://www.surprisegadget.com/index.php?option=com_aworewards

Can you please tell me how you created your link?

Ok, the problem is simple. Google and yahoo require a secure connection, https. The link you sent to me did not work because it was http. Once I changed it to https, it worked:
    https://www.surprisegadget.com/????????-???-???.html

I am sorry, but your help wasn't useful. It still returns error. And it is totally random.

    Hello,

There really is no randomness in code. There is cause and effect. If you can pin down why there is an error it can be fixed.

The first thing I would ask you to look at is make sure your site is in https:// when accessing yahoo and google.
