how to set a single couponcode that will work for any six products

We have a Joomla+Virtuemart website and using awocoupon.

We have different products listed. I would like to set coupon for selected products.

Now my question is how to setup single couponcode that will work for any six products? The coupon should not work for more than six products.

You should be able to do this by creating a product coupon, selecting the 6 products that can be discounted, and selecting a discount type of 'specific'.

But the requirement is, we need a coupon that allows the user to select any 6 products out of the list.

The settings you mentioned allows admin to set specific 6 products that can be discounted.

I think so. AwoCoupon works on just discounts, it does not give you the ability to select products. For this you need something like purchasing rules, i think it can handle that:
