    Hi there

I just bought and installed your plugin on our site: https://hi-tech-online-store.com

and created a coupon for the product Fastin: https://hi-tech-online-store.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=150

The coupon should deduct 20 dollars from the price but when going to the cart, I see nothing to indicate that there is a deduction and also not on the checkout page.

It should not matter but we do have a Discount Over Total plugin installed also. I have checked the code and they should not interfere with each other.

    Please advise.

    Best Regards

Hi, so are you getting the error 'coupon not found'? Or is there just no discount? If you are using 1.1.5, I know there is a bug with the discount being displayed on the checkout page. The first fix in this post fixes that:

Not sure if the bug exists in vm 1.1.6 or not.

    Hi again.

Please check the site and you will see yourself: no error code, no sight of a coupon, no discount nothing. The coupon is active but I see no results of it when placing something in the cart or going through the checkout.

Hi, I looked at the site, but I do not know what the coupon code is.

Also noticed that after adding the product into the cart, the product total is 99.95, but the total is 94.95. Is this the discout module you mentioned?

    Hi again

The coupon code is Fastin and when entered, nothing happens.

I thought the calculations would happen automatically according to settings. If we set up 10 coupons to fit a mix of rebates, would all ten have to be entered manually by the customer?

Yes, the DOT plugin deducts Discounts over total automatically according to a five step discount structure depending on the total order amount.

We want the rebate to be deducted automatically without having to force the customer to read, remember and enter a coupon code.

    Hi again

I had to switch product for the coupon. I now have set up a 10 dollar rebate coupon for this product: https://hi-tech-online-store.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=344

the coupon name or code is test and I still do not see any changes - there is an error message that the coupon code could not be found.

    Best Regards

The discounts from the coupon codes are not calculated automatically, the user has to enter the code to get the discount.

Ok, I added the product "FastinĀ® 60 Caplets" to the cart and tried the coupon code "Fastin". After I submitted, I received the error "Coupon code not found. Please try again.".

I think this might be a case of setting up the coupon. First thing, did you look at the installation check page from the dashboard? Is everything relevant installed? Secondly, how did you setup the coupon. Did you select specific customers or a coupon usage of x number of uses per customer? If you did, then the user is required to log in before he/she can use the coupon. The error messages are configurable on the configuration page.

    Hi again

Ok so I did not log in (all was installed ok by the way) but the coupon field is displayed on the cart page, before any customer is asked to log in - that only happens when the customer click the checkout button!

    Please advise.

For the customer log in problem, there are 2 choices
    1) you can edit the error message to something more friendly, example: 'please log in to use this coupon'
    2) if you do not want the coupon field to show up before a customer is logged in, then you can try this approach:
