I seem to be asking a lot of questions so sorry about having to ask again..
Not sure if I have this right have created a rule that I think does what I want but tried an order and nothings been awarded.

I want to give £5 discount for every £100 spent before tax but on all purchases so £10 spent gets £0.5 added to accumulated amount and I've set automatic payout to awo coupon balance with points to amount ratio set at 1
Also tried review rule which seems to have worked ok but not showing anything in front end.

    Rule settings

    Customer type = everyone
    all shopper groups
    Rule Type = Order
Minimum Order Total Type = Per order
    Minimum Order Total = blank

Order Number to trigger rule = 1
Percent of Order Total = 5   (order total no shipping)

    Category = whole order

    Credit type = points

Any advice on this would be very appreciated, just need to get my head around this one and think I'll grasp the rest.

    Regards, Ian

Order Number to trigger rule = 1

That will trigger the rule to work on only the first order.  If you want it to work for all orders, leave it blank.

Thanks again Seyi, I was closer to being right than I thought at least.  Sorry again for all the questions and I'm sure I'm not finished yet but getting it right is essential I have at least 2 more sites I will most likely be purchasing these components for.

Still having some teething problems but gonna really study documentation to see if I'm making mistakes, points for reviews going as vouchers when I've set it to give points and in users records says those are claimed, also nothing displays in awo coupon balance but points from sales now show in awo reward points module.  Finding it hard to get my head around but can see the possibilities are endless.

Look in aworewards->configuration.  How did you setup coupon payout?

Actually I wanted you to check and make sure it was not enabled, that would explain coupons being issued on a rule being processed if you have coupon payout auto setup.

If you want the points to go directly to awocoupon balance, make sure you have this selected in the dropdown in coupon payout auto, and not a coupon.

Yes thats how it was set up Seyi.

Still acting strangely, no display in awo coupon balance module, points for reviews and manually entered ones showing in back end users as claimed and some disappeared from aworewards points module and also showed as claimed  The points that are showing as claimed appear as coupons (gift certificates) in back end.

Really don't understand this sorry Seyi.

Quick update, it seems that all whole points are being turned into coupons while fractions of points ie: .25 are left so its automatically changing all whole points to coupons.

Is it possible to look at your setup directly?  If so can you send a private message with temp admin access?

    Thanks for the access.

The first thing I noticed is in awocoupon->configuration, you did not have customer balance enabled, so I have enabled it.   So now, when you view the AwoCoupon balance module in the front end, it shows the correct balance.

In aworewards->configuration->coupon payout auto, you have points to 'Block of points for exchange' set to 1.  This means it will only transfer points in whole numbers.  So if you have 3.3, it will transfer 3.  This is why you have 0.6 points left in AwoRewards.  If you want all points to transfer in all cases leave it blank or set it to 0.

And yes, the points are converted into coupons, but these are special coupons that cannot be used in the front end, they are the customer balance.

Seyi you are an absolute legend, was something simple that I'd missed but most developers wouldn't have helped like that so thank you so much.

Now thats sorted I'm pretty sure I can handle the rest and move it over to the production site soon.

Support like nothing I've seen before in all the years I've been using joomla, thanks again and sorry I was such a pain.

Not a pain at all, AwoRewards is a complicated extension and does take some time to setup, but once setup should work very well.  And you are very welcome, thanks very much for recognizing the support.
