Coupon Code Skips Redundant Items with Attributes

I have a website that sells t-shirts. Each shirt uses attributes within VM to allow the customer to choose size and color. So for SKU 101, it would have Size attributes of Small, Medium, Large and Color attributes of Black and White.

Trouble is, if you add SKU 101 to the cart with Size: Small, Color: Black, and then add SKU 101 again with Size: Large, Color: White (2 separate line items, but same SKU) and then apply a 20% off coupon, it only applies the discount to one item.

I've had this problem where people buy 4 of the same shirt, all in different colors/sizes, and are only getting a discount on one of the items? Any ideas why the rest are being skipped over? Again, this is only happening to multiple quantities of the same item with different attributes. Thanks,

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

You are right. Products with different descriptions only get taken into account once. Unfortunately the fix is not easy. It will be fixed in the next release, which I am aiming for in the next week.

    Hope that is sufficient.

Ok, thanks Seyi. I've managed to stop the bleeding temporarily by using a stock VM coupon. I'll keep an eye out for the new release.
